Naruto: Summer by GigaBomb

Summer (Shino-Kiba-Hinata | PG | 1,384 words): As the genin teams grown up and apart, Shino contemplates his old team. Shino's an interesting character with a lack of emotions that's hard to convey well but is here. The genin teams in Naruto all seem to have a dynamic where the bonds you form in your team are almost like family, which is neat when you get a team like Shino's that's made up of opposite personalities. And this story looks at that bond in a way that's delightful to read.

Excerpt:
The companionship they found with each other had not been discovered in any abrupt, life changing way. It was a slow acceptance of each other's eccentricities, learning what topics to avoid, when to push and when to back down. A silent agreement between Shino and Kiba to never upset Hinata when they could avoid it, a joint pact to never question about the secrets of their clans. To never ask why Hinata was so reluctant to return home after training every day, or what had so decimated the Aburame clan.
