Doctor Who: The More Things Change by icebluenothing
The More Things Change (Mickey | G | 1,844 words): When Rose and the tenth Doctor stop by, Mickey's not sure what to make of the pair of them. Oh, Mickey. He's a regular guy trying to make sense of a really odd situation, and he's doing his best.
Excerpt:
Rose told him where they'd been, who they'd talked to -- the Time Agents who'd been on Jack's trail, the waypoints and stations they'd posted "Have you seen this man?" notices at.
Mickey nodded and half-listened, wishing Rose would ask about her mum or Shireen or anything to do with her life. Finally, he asked, "Would you go through this much trouble for me?"
" -- What?"
"If it was me lost out there, somewhere. Would you spend all this time looking for me?"
She stared at him. "Of course I would, Mickey. You know that. Don't you?"
