There was something really wrong with this plan, Iruka was certain. But he was getting catcalls, and that was always a good thing. So he grinned sloppily and staggered with Genma up to the stage.

The hoots got a lot louder.

Then the music came on, and there were words on the screen, and they were singing "I Will Survive" in loud, off-tune voices. Iruka was certain the plan had worked. People were so distracted by their near-nakedness, they didn't even notice they were singing. Success.

Love Songs and Ladies (Team 7 | PG | 4,243 words): Team 7 has to escort a princess, who decides to have a Forbidden Romance with one of her protectors. It is so funny while also being in character. And the princess is amusingly oblivious while not being annoying.

Excerpt:
"I hadn't even noticed - the way Sasuke always picked a fight with Naruto, especially if I'm talking with him. His attitude this afternoon. The-" she sniffled "-the woodpile and- Oh." She sniffled again.

"Look, don't worry about it-"

"Don't worry about it?" Minako sniffled. "But it's so tragic!"

"...Tragic?"

"That he's in love with me too! To think that I've given my heart to Naruto, his best friend- oh- no wonder he's been a bit mean to me these last two days, he's fighting his own heart! He-"

Minako would have elaborated, but Sakura made a very strange and rather unladylike sound deep in her throat and then swung towards Kakashi-san, who appeared to be trying to hide his entire face behind his small book.

Saiyuki: Brothers, Shuffled by snowyheart

Brothers, Shuffled (Gojyo-Goku | G | 981 words): Gojyo teaches Goku how to summon his weapon. It's cute to see the brotherly interaction between the two.

Excerpt:
Gojyo sits on his haunches, balancing the shakujou across his knees, and looks into that little round face.

"Look, you're a youkai, right? So you got one. C'mon, you never heard about that?"

"Huh-uh..." The frown's a little defensive, but there's curiosity, too.

"See, you hold out your hand like this--" Goku immediately mirrors the action-- "and sorta... reach down inside you. You'll know the feeling. Just think about it and concentrate."
