Somehow get to you (Foggy/Matt | R | 1,849 words): Foggy and Matt's adventures in trying kinky sex. This is a really fluffy exploration of what Matt and Foggy like, with lots of laughter and silliness and the occasional bit that doesn't quite work out as intended.

Excerpt:
"You should dungeon master first," Foggy says, when they're in the bedroom.

"I don't like either of those words," Matt says.

"Okay," Foggy says, gamely. "You should rough me up in a hot consensual way before I rough you up in a hot consensual way."

Matt thinks about it for a second.

"Better," he says, softly, before stepping in to pull Foggy into a kiss. It's a nice one, all long and romantic, Matt's fingers sprawled across the small of his back before they slide up to tangle in his hair and tug.

"Oh, wow," Foggy murmurs.

Office Space (Donald/Timmy | PG13 | 2,398 words): Five times Timmy visits Donald's office. I enjoy Timmy and Donald and their relationship, and seeing it through snapshots of office visits is fun--with a little romance, a little teasing, and a little hurt/comfort.

Excerpt:
Donald burst through his office door — not even bothering to look around — and threw the plastic bag down on the desk. "You'd think as a gay man, I'd know a thing or two about something called ballcocks, but apparently they come in several shapes and sizes. I told the hardware guy, it was an old toilet so he suggested this model. If it doesn't work, you can take it back and exchange it because I'm done."

It wasn't until Timmy was thrusting a perfectly chilled martini into his hand that Donald noticed that the lights were even dimmer than normal, there was jazz playing on the CD boombox in the corner and that candles were lit all round.

Donald watched Timmy's eyes twinkle with amusement as Donald finally caught a clue that he'd been had. Some detective he was.

"I thought we should celebrate the launch of Donald Strachey Investigations' new office. Congratulations, honey."

Donald clinked his glass against Timmy's. "Just so we're clear. The ballcock thing was all a ruse?"

Fan Mail (Casey, Dan | G | 1,997 words): Casey has to do a story on NASCAR; he doesn't want to. This is a crossover (sort of--none of the other characters appear, they're merely talked about) with another fic that is a NASCAR AU for Stargate:Atlantis. It's got perfect Sports Night banter between Casey and Dan, like it could have been from the show.

Excerpt:
The sounds of arguing came from Dana's office. So Dan did the sensible thing: he waited outside the door for Casey to come out, and then asked, "I don't want to know, do I?"

"You don't."

"But if I don't know, I'm going to get ambushed by this. I'm going to have Natalie threatening my manhood and Jeremy probing me for information, and it'll all end badly."

Casey grimaced. "Please don't use the words 'probing' and 'Jeremy' in the same sentence."

"Okay, Jeremy will be pumping me for information."

"That's not any better."

"Yeah, well, I'm the one who'll end up suffering if you don't tell me. So tell me."

The trembling of my fingertips (Foggy/Matt | NC17 | 2,349): Foggy draws on Matt. There's a quiet serenity and sensuality to this that I love, as Matt lets himself be with Foggy there.

Excerpt:
—Foggy snaps the elastic against his wrist and ties his long hair up, messy and half of the strands are spilling out but then he picks up the marker against, propping Matt's wrist up with his pinky, and puts his other hand on Matt's back—

—scritch, scratch.

The drawing is stretching up to his elbow. His loose shirt is beginning to feel tight around his upper arm. —"Wait," he says, and it comes out like— breathy and sexual and this is not a sex thing but he sits up and the cold air of the room is, in an instant, whispering around him like wind spirits or something. He feels dizzy. His blinks to clear his eyes even though he can't see and his lips mash together as water pricks behind his sightless eyes. His glasses don't fall back into place.

Moving forward (Foggy-Matt | PG13 | 1,213 words): After Fisk makes an escape and Matt catches him at the end of Season 1, Matt heads to Foggy's apartment. This is a lovely coda to Season 1, where Matt and Foggy continue their conversation from the gym and start building their new, post-reveals relationship.

Excerpt:
"Shit," Foggy says, holding onto Matt's shoulder as he climbs through the window. "Are you good? Do I need to call Claire?"

Matt reaches out and pats Foggy's outstretched arm, moving his hand up so he can gently squeeze Foggy's hand with his own gloved one. "I'm fine,” he says, and Matt finds that he is. For all the hits Fisk managed to lay on him, Matt's new outfit protected him well enough, exactly as it was meant to.

Foggy doesn't say anything for a moment, and Matt doesn't hear his hair move to indicate he'd turned his head. Foggy was still looking at Matt. His heartbeat was high when Matt came through the window, but it was gradually returning to its normal rate. It doesn't suddenly hike back to its previous speed when Foggy finally says, "Okay."

Note: This is tagged as M/M by the author, but it really reads more like gen to me so that's how I've personally tagged it.

Prepping for landing and coming in fresh (Sam/Scott | PG13 | 2,021 words): Scott has a scenario to run by Sam. This is cute and funny. Scott's awkward and Sam does not understand Scott's logic processes, and it's all a lot of fun to read.

Excerpt:
So when Sam so much as senses the other about to shift next to him again, he grabs him around the bicep to keep that pointy elbow coming anywhere near his ribs for the fourth time in ten minutes.

"God-- fine," he relents. Because if Scott talks, he doesn't fidget, and if he doesn't fidget, Sam doesn't get that low-key look of Intense Disappointment from the Cap he knows he'll get for (gently) knocking out one of their only allies (an ally he called down, no less), no matter if it's an attempt to save his own sanity. "You kissed a girl. And?"

He has to wait a second for Scott to remember what they were talking about, though. There's this agonizing moment where the guy looks so startled that Sam's acknowledging him that he just sits there, blinking owlishly. Then his brain catches up.

"Oh," he replies, grin sliding across his face. "Oh yeah! Almost forgot."

A Law Unto Themselves (Fraser, Harry Dresden, Dief): Harry meets some of the people that work out of the 27th Precinct. This is just fun! Harry's reaction to Fraser is amusing, and his reaction to Dief is even better.

Excerpt:
"Detective Kowalski? I'm Harry Dresden, PI."

The cop got to his feet and grabbed my hand in one fluid movement, shaking it briefly.

"Right, the wizard from Murph's patch. Stanley Kowalski, Chicago PD. Er, call me Ray. Nice to meet you. What's the trouble?"

I blinked at him a couple of times.

"Did I say somethin' wrong?" He raised his eyebrows as he said it, and I wondered if he was actually concerned or just amused at my reaction.

It's Too Late to Say Good Night (Foggy/Kirsten/Matt | G | 1,048 words): A morning together for Matt, Kirsten, and Foggy. This is everything I love about domestic fic, where the characters get to live in the happy ending that they strove for. The light-hearted banter between Matt, Kirsten, and Foggy puts a smile on my face, and the whole work exudes joy to me.

Excerpt:
"Hey, where's my kiss?" Foggy asks, and Matt bends to kiss the proffered cheek, then wrinkles his nose at how scratchy it is. "Yes, you princess, I'm going to shave after breakfast. Here." Foggy hands Matt the plate of toast and steals his coffee cup. "Go set the table. You can have coffee later, you're taking the morning off to sleep."

"But - "

"No buts! The firm of Nelson, Murdock, and McDuffie can handle one morning with just Nelson and McDuffie. We don't need you snoring all over our clients."

"Says the only snorer in the apartment," Kirsten points out.

"Matt says it's cute."

"Matt's buttering you up."

"Matt pleads the fifth," Matt says, and brings the toast to the table.

Exotic Particles (Rodney McKay-Parker | G | 1,006 words): Parker meets Rodney in a coffee shop. This is a fun, little crossover between two characters who frequently don't get how to people.

Excerpt:
"I didn't say you could sit there," the man said without looking away from the screen. His fingers worked independent of his mouth it seemed. Hers did too.

"I didn't ask," she said.

The man looked up at that, transferring his frown to her.

Her smile slipped away. "I'm supposed to ask, aren't I? That's a polite thing. I never get that right."

"Politeness is..." he waved his hand in a complicated spiral that she decided meant not worthy of my time.

Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda (Reed Richards-Scott Summers | G | 2,112 words): Scott meets Reed when they're both counselors at a summer camp. This is a just plain fun imagining of how Scott and Reed could have met.

Excerpt:
The bus doors were closing, and Scott was resigning himself to being stared at due to his shades and/or talking with eight-year-old, bespectacled Peter and his friend Harry for the entire ride upstate, when a hand thrust through the crack between the doors and someone yelled, "Please, wait!"

A tall, gangly guy with a big backpack followed his hand through when the driver opened the doors again, then promptly fell up the stairs. As the entire bus watched in fascinated silence, he unfolded his long, bare legs, stood, and brushed off the front of his blue Camp Windy Hills polo shirt. He looked up, and his dark eyebrows immediately drew together. "Oh. Oh, dear." A quick glance down at his khaki shorts, immaculate white sneakers, and--strangely--black argyle socks. "Were we not supposed to come in uniform?"

Beyond Touched (Foggy/Matt | NC17 | 1,555 words): After Foggy learns about Matt's senses, he tests their extent in bed. Ah, I just love the idea of exploring Matt's senses in any and all ways, but especially pleasurable ones.

Excerpt:
He runs a hand up the space over Matt's thigh again. Not touching, because he's barely touched him at all since they began. Keeping this thin barrier of air between them at all times, letting Matt feel the breeze of his movements, the buffer of heated air and the hotter skin just out of reach.

Matt's head flops to the side, breath stuttering hard like Foggy's raked fingernails over his flesh instead.

He's lost track of time, doesn't know how long they've been like this, only knows that Matt's grown more and more responsive the longer Foggy's hands have moved just shy of his skin. Matt's usually pretty intense during sex as it is but this, well, this is something else.

Say Yes And I'll Follow (Alec/Magnus | NC17 | 2,056 words): Alec asks Magnus to hold him down with his magic. This both sweet and sexy.

Excerpt:
Magnus arches his brow. "I didn't know you were into bondage."

Technically Alec doesn't know that yet either, but he's very willing to find out. "I'm into you," he says. "And your magic."

"Into me holding you down with magic," Magnus says.

Alec's dick twitches visibly at Magnus' words. Alec can feel himself blushing now, but Magnus is grinning, so he's pretty positive he’s going to get what he wants. He pushes up his hips so Magnus falls forward and kisses him once he's within reach.

Able to Succeed (Tim | G | 1,152 words): Bruce trains Tim. This is just neat. A neat look at Tim in the early days of being Robin and at Bruce's drive with a kicker of an ending.

Excerpt:
Tim works on the assignment for two weeks. He can't take it home to work on: his reference books and research have taken over a corner of the cave. It's too dangerous to work on it at school. It takes him three days to come up with a plan he's sure of, and another half week to iron out the details. He writes it up, and then realizes he's left a flank unprotected and has to take out three pages and re-write them. When he gives the paper to Bruce, Bruce turns off the microscope light and turns on another desk light, then settles in to read with a red pencil twitching in his fingers.

It feels like an only slightly milder version of his not long ago audition for Robin. Bruce doesn't give him any indication with his facial expression, but before he's even flipped the first page he's already making marks on the paper. When Bruce says, "what's your source for the dispersion of the gas grenades?" Tim's almost startled enough to show it.

Blank Slate, Artificial Boxes (Gurathin-Murderbot | G | 2,223 words): Gurathin and Murderbot have a conversation about relationships while aromantic. This is a neat bit of understanding between Gurathin and Murderbot and shows them as friends even while Murderbot would deny such a thing.

Excerpt:
"So you were having a great time at Mensah's anniversary celebration?"

That was sarcasm. Every human within visual range had clearly noticed what a not-great time I was having.

It wasn't Mensah's fault. The other humans, on the other hand.

At least some of them just didn't seem to know why I was there. Worse were the ones who made it very clear that they expected me to be part of this 'anniversary' celebration sooner or later, but didn't say it outright, which was somehow worse.

"No one there was a threat," I said over the feed. "So I didn't need to be there. I'd rather -"

"Watch Sanctuary Moon than be bothered by a bunch of humans, right."

Annoyingly, that had been what I was about to say.

Good Old-Fashioned School of Loverboys (Iida/Todoroki | G | 1,688 words): Iida thinks he is prepared for Valentine's Day. This is an adorable get-together fic. Iida is a somewhat oblivious sweetheart throughout.

Excerpt:
"Did you guys get any chocolate?" Midoriya asks between bites of his lunch. He doesn't wait for them to respond before he continues, in an awed tone, "I got some."

"Yes, I got a few gifts today," Iida replies.

Todoroki just gives a noncommittal hum and leans to the side to reach into his bag. "Actually," he says, clearing his throat, "this is for you." He places a box on the table between them, the clear cover revealing expensive-looking chocolates lined up neatly in three rows.

Iida stares at it for a moment, allowing his heart one, two, three excited thumps before he wrestles it under control. Determined not to let his crush color their interactions, he says brightly, "Thank you, Todoroki-kun! I appreciate it a great deal. Unfortunately I was not aware that we're exchanging friend chocolate today, so I don't have a gift for you."

The consequence at hand (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 1,103 words | coda to What would an angel say (the devil wants to know)): Foggy takes up cross-stitching. This is fun and sweet and silly, just everything I want for a happy Foggy/Matt relationship.

Excerpt:
Matt is on one end of the couch. He's pure silence with his yarn between them and his super-focused face is out in full-force. It's adorable. His lips stick out, halfway between pursed and pouty. Foggy has ruined a few of Matt's projects by the sudden desire to kiss that look right off his face.

Foggy isn't quite so silent on his end of the couch. He tries, but he has a tendency to swear under his breath every time he fucks up—and he fucks up a lot. There have been a lot of false starts. He's had to start from scratch more times than he cares to count, but now… now he's just about finished with his first project.

Setting Free (Wesley | PG13 | 2,300 words | sequel to Sallying Forth): Wesley on a mission for SG1. This is just a lot of fun, very much in the spirit of Stargate SG1 and the adventures they have.

Excerpt:
"Well, isn't this lovely," Wes muttered, dangling resignedly from a pole in the middle of the village square.

The rope looped around his ankles had been carefully secured; he was in no danger of losing circulation in any extremities. But the sensation of blood rushing in his head was very unpleasant, and with his wrists also tied, he was unable to either reach the ground or climb the rope above him.

Such an excellent impression he was making on SG-1's first off world mission since Colonel O'Neill's return. He'd hoped to put off any such eventuality until such time as he had proven his competency beyond reasonable doubt... but he supposed he had ample proof by now that his new job was as subject to the whims of the fates as his old one. The ways of the Moirai were, as ever, fickle.

Sallying Forth (Wesley | G | 1,300 words | sequel to Stepping Stones, sequel is Setting Free): Wesley's thoughts now as a member of SG1. This really feels like a happy ending for Wesley after following his journey over the course of this series.

Excerpt:
"WesleyPryce," Teal'c said quietly, eyeing him as they stood on the bridge of the small cargo ship. "Are you well?"

"Very well, Teal'c; thank you. Just taking in the view." Wesley gave his alien teammate a nod, then returned his gaze to the starry night outside the windows.

Stepping Up (SG1 ensemble | G | 2,000 words | sequel to Small Steps, sequel is Sallying Forth): SG1 makes their final decision on whether or not Wesley should join the team. It's neat; I like the team having an actual discussion about the matter and their different viewpoints in action.

Excerpt:
"And what of Mr. Wyndam-Pryce's ability to selectively appear and disappear, Major Carter?" he asked, turning to O'Neill's second. "Any indication of technological assistance or control by an external entity such as Nirrti or the Reetou?"

"Actually... no, sir," Carter said, her expression the familiar mixture of fascination and frustration that he'd come to associate with her discovery of new scientific puzzle. "He claims it's magic, and so far... well, I haven't been able to prove him wrong."

Rules of Being a Hamada Brother (Hiro-Tadashi | G | 1,460 words): Hiro and Tadashi being brothers. This is lovely fluff until the end, which is a gut punch. An unsurprising gut punch, given canon, and one that really elevates this fic and gives depth to all the preceding fluff.

Excerpt:
Rule 3: Hamada brothers ALWAYS trust each other.

12:30 am. Hiro pushed open the front door of Lucky Cat Cafe quietly. He tried to sneak back to his room without anyone noticing until he bumped into something in front of him.

"Tadashi? What are you doing here?!" Hiro yelped, startled by his stern-looking brother in front of him.
