Five, er, Six Reports Nathan Stark Wishes Never Crossed His Desk (ensemble | PG13 | 2,289 words): Six bites of things gone wrong in Eureka. This is a lot of fun, and the situations are clever, and there's a couple of neat, surprise crossovers.

Excerpt:
"The first person to crack a joke about shrinkage spends the night in jail," Carter warned them. Because of his condition, he sounded like Minnie Mouse. He cleared his throat and threw his voice lower. "Got it?"

"Wouldn't dream of it," said Allison, sharing a glance with Lupo. Lupo hid her grin better.

"I don't know what you mean," Taggert said proudly. "I've got nothing to be ashamed of."

Blood Feud (Jack/Nathan | NC17 | 14,990 words): Jack gets kidnapped from Eureka, and Nathan has to call his estranged brother, Tony Stark, for help finding Jack. It's a fun get-together story with a bit of a fun crossover.

Excerpt:
"Nathan. Long time."

"I need a favor."

"To the point. Always liked that about you."

"Someone I... know has been abducted. Whoever has him isn't going to keep him alive for long."

"Someone you know." Tony smiled. "Well, it can't be Allison or her son Kevin or you'd have said so. Yet it has to be someone important to you personally or you'd leave it in the hands of the F.B.I. and D.O.D." Tony smirked. "So not just someone you... know."

"Tony-."

"And you used the male objective personal pronoun... him." Tony sank back into the luxurious butter-soft leather of his couch and grinned, recalling Nathan's equal opportunity dating history back in college. "Has my baby half-brother got himself a new crush... on a man?"

Siren's Tears (Jack/Nathan | PG13 | 8,250 words): One of Eureka's scientist's accidentally unleashes fear gas on the town. This plays out like a slightly darker episode of the show, with added romance.

Excerpt:
"Just stay there unless you want to live your worst nightmares," Jack replied darkly. Zoƫ made a little eep, which reassured him she would stay put. Catching Nathan's disapproving look, he rolled his eyes. "What? I was making sure she'd stay put. She's got one of the holographic chips in her brain too, and I don't want zombies in this nightmare, thanks," he informed the scientist, who shook his head.

"Try Lupo," Nathan suggested, and Jack did, the phone going straight to voice mail. He tried his radio a few times, but got no reply.

"No help there," Jack said, looking at his silent phone. "Look, by now, anyone unaffected would have called me if they were able. We're on our own."

"I'm not..." Nathan swallowed, looking at the screen.

"You've got a mask," Jack reminded him irritably. "Just what are you so scared of?"
