Cornflower Blue (Fisk/Wesley | PG13 | 1,258 words): Fisk has a request of Wesley. This has a wonderful character voice for Wesley, and I love how it looks at the relationship between Wesley and Fisk.

Excerpt:
It took a special kind of determination to have weathered an unarticulated promise to stay put on his aunt's farm in Iowa while he tended his high school resume and Fisk built his connections out on the east coast in the dark. It’d been tough. There had been no contact between them, and, as he put on years that, one by one, distanced him from the lovesick child who'd presented his departing neighbor with a bouquet of weeds from the unkempt fringes of his farm's cornfield, he'd often wondered if the phone would ever ring with the summons he’d convinced himself was coming.

But even then, his resolve hadn't wavered. He'd polished himself till the shine made him worth something: a business degree, foreign language skills, and social graces. And he'd been rewarded for his patience and hard work most handsomely with a place at Fisk's side and one half of his bed.

More Precious Than Gold (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 1,630 words): Matt, a dragon, has something he wants to show Foggy. This is sweet and precious and wonderfully fluffy.

Excerpt:
"They're so big! Are… Are these your eggs?"

Matt curled tighter around the clutch.

"They're mine now," he said, because that much was true. "They… They were left to me, by someone very important. You… Can touch one. If you want."

Foggy did, then gasped.

"It's so warm…"

"It's coming out of hibernation," Matt explained. "After a long, long time."

Foggy continued to stroke the closest egg, and a wave of contentment — weak, fluttering, distinct from his own — washed over Matt. His heart constricted with a joy so fierce it was almost painful.

Move it like u stole it (Foggy/Matt | NC17 | 2,380 words): Foggy introduces Matt to the wonders of sex toys. I love how much fun Foggy and Matt have with each other.

Excerpt:
"So?"

Matt went a little pinker across the very tops of his cheeks. "I mean. It's kind of...loud? And it's -" he seemed to weigh it, in his hand: "isn't it a little...big?"

"You are so full of shit, I love it," Foggy said, in real admiration, and tackled him. ("Ow! no! quit it!" Matt giggled, in between volleys into what maybe devolved into a particularly stupid pillow fight.)

"It's fine," Matt said, more than a little breathless, from where he'd draped himself across Foggy. "I still don't get the big deal, but it's fine, c'mon, take me for a ride."

A Little Fright (Foggy/Matt, Dany | PG13 | 1,445 words): Foggy has to rescue Matt from a witch. This is fun and has Foggy being appropriately awesome and has a nice sense of humor.

Excerpt:
"What do we do?" he whispers to Danny.

Danny frowns for a second. It's hard to see his full expression due to the dim lighting and his mask, but he seems contemplative. Hopefully coming up with a smart plan.

"You go get Matt from the cage. I'll stop the witch. Ok?"

Foggy waits a few more seconds, but that appears to be it.

"Uh. Ok."

A little bit barebones, but he can work with it.

Lullaby (Foggy/Matt | G | 1,070 words): Matt's routine after returning home from a night out as Daredevil. This fic has wonderful atmosphere, quiet and comfortable.

Excerpt:
It's late when Matt slips through the rooftop access of his apartment, locking it behind him with a tired sigh. The Kitchen was restless tonight, one crime occurring after the other with no chance to take any kind of breather. Matt supposes he got lucky only sustaining minor injuries. The last thing he wanted was a wound that would delay his safe return home.

Getting to Know You Again (Bonnie-Maya | G | 1,260 words): Bonnie and Maya reconnect as adults. This is a lovely vignette featuring these two and the bond between them.

Excerpt:
Maya walked into the living room and twenty years instantly melted away. Bonnie was in her pajamas, fluffing pillows in a nest of blankets and couch cushions. She dropped her pillow and to sign to Maya. "Hurry up! Change! I want to watch the movies."

They were fully grown women now, but this scene echoed all the nights they spent together as little girls. It reminded Maya of all the time they spent talking and playing and watching movies together. How they'd hide from Biscuits and plan pranks on him.

"What's the rush?" Maya asked after she shed her jacket.

What we both didn't say (Foggy/Matt | NC17 | 2,244 words | sequel to The Moments in your Arms): A happy ending for "The Moment in your Arms." This is sweet and lovely and a perfect happy resolution to the previous fic.

Excerpt:
Shortly, his resolve from earlier that evening comes back to Foggy. But it crumbles. Right now, he needs Matt. Needs to be close to him. Needs to be in his arms. No matter how fleeting these moments might be. The rational part of his soul resists and reminds him that the longer this goes on, the more he'll get hurt. But Foggy shakes his head wildly as if to scold his brain for the horrible timing. A motion that isn't lost to Matt.

Too easy (Foggy/Matt | R | 1,294 words): Matt has been given an assignment to carry out while out with Foggy. This is such a cool fic. I love the tenseness between Matt's thoughts and Foggy's actions and not knowing which way the chips are going to fall until the end.

Excerpt:
It's an easy job. A piece of cake, as they say. There is also literal cake because it's a safe way to get Foggy into a restaurant. Not that he doesn't let Matt pay for four courses before getting to dessert.

The place is nice. Tasteful music plays, not too loud and pleasant on the ears. All guests of the establishment have a sense of tact so nobody imposes their conversation on others. Matt hears it all anyway: spoken words, clinking glasses, and cutlery scraping over plates. But it's at a volume that allows him to tune it out and focus on Foggy.

All the way through dinner, Foggy chatters, turns his head around like a curious child, and greets other patrons he knows. So easily distracted. It would be a child's play to poison his soup.

Five, er, Six Reports Nathan Stark Wishes Never Crossed His Desk (ensemble | PG13 | 2,289 words): Six bites of things gone wrong in Eureka. This is a lot of fun, and the situations are clever, and there's a couple of neat, surprise crossovers.

Excerpt:
"The first person to crack a joke about shrinkage spends the night in jail," Carter warned them. Because of his condition, he sounded like Minnie Mouse. He cleared his throat and threw his voice lower. "Got it?"

"Wouldn't dream of it," said Allison, sharing a glance with Lupo. Lupo hid her grin better.

"I don't know what you mean," Taggert said proudly. "I've got nothing to be ashamed of."

Broken If Revealed (Foggy-Matt-Karen | G | 2,139 words | remix is Broken If Revealed (The File It Under the Letter D Remix) by significantowl): Karen finds a contingency folder among Foggy's papers, and secrets come out. This is a wonderful fic full of revelations and friendship.

Excerpt:
Karen set the unlabeled file folder she'd been holding onto the table. Then she flipped the front cover open to show the slimmer, bright red folder hidden inside, bearing a label in Foggy's looping handwriting: 'Contingency Plans (for when Matt's life inevitably goes to hell because he is a masochistic ASSHOLE)'.

Foggy's breath caught audibly in his throat. "Oh," he said. "Uh. This is-- it's not what it looks like?"

Karen put her hands flat on the table and leaned forward. "I think it's exactly what it looks like. And I think it's only the tip of the iceberg, because you're amazingly cryptic even in private notes. So tell me, what is Matt doing that makes you think he's going to get arrested and disbarred, or just plain killed? Is he trying to infiltrate the mob? Is it related to that 'car crash' from two months ago? Which I know was not an actual car crash, by the way, and I'm going to get the real story someday, but that's not important right now."

Foggy was trying to interrupt. She plowed over him, doing her best to convey her anger without getting so loud Matt might overhear. "Whatever the problem is, why haven't you done anything to get him out of it instead of just assuming he's going to crash and burn? And why didn't you tell me anything? He's my friend too! I work here too! I have a right to know -- and to help!"

Three Bouquets (Ino/Sakura | PG | 1,153): Neji and Hinata come to buy some flowers from Ino's shop. This is a nice vignette at the moment Ino comes to some realizations.

Excerpt:
Ino looks at her decapitated flower- though it's not a flower now, just a stick of thorns- and wonders just what the hell she thinks she's doing here. Sasuke doesn't like her. Sasuke will never like her. And Sakura will never forgive her.

That hurts the most.

She watches through dull eyes as Hinata "rescues" the rose's leaves and head, asking, "C-can I please h-have these, I-Ino?"

Four Eyes (Foggy-Matt | G | 1,778 words): A story for how Matt got his round, red glasses. This is a very sweet fic.

Excerpt:
"Woah, Matt, are you OK? What the hell happened?"

Foggy stood up, blocking Matt's path across the room and peering at the injury.

"Oh, it's nothing, Foggy. Honestly."

"Dude, you're bleeding. Sit down, now."

Matt raised a hand to the side of his head and gingerly explored the area around the cut. Foggy hurried into the bathroom to find the first aid kit his mother had packed for him when he had left home. Luckily it had not seen a lot of action during his time at college and so was still well stocked. Foggy dropped down on the bed next to where Matt now sat, looking slightly dejected, and ripped open an antiseptic wipe.

"This might sting," he said, dabbing gently at the cut. "So, you gonna tell me what happened? Do I need to go fight someone?"

Matt laughed.

"No, it was an accident," he replied, "Rogue football."

One First Touch My Heart'll Do the Rest (Foggy/Matt | G | 2,492 words): Four times Foggy does some digging and one time Matt does. This is a really sweet fic showing how much these two characters care for each other, and the variety of "digging" in the different sections is fun.

Excerpt:
"Honey I'm home!" Foggy calls as he comes into his and Matt's dorm. "Okay, Matt, you will not believe what my aunt said during..." he trails off as he looks at Matt's bed. There's the familiar lump of Matt shaped blankets but with the addition of Foggy's comforter and quilt on top of that. It's kind of cool but it's not that cold. Foggy keeps a wary eye on Matt as he sets his bags down on his own bed before stepping over. "Hey, buddy? You under there?" he asks with a small shake approximately in the shoulder area.

The blankets shift as Matt moves (which, whew, okay, he's alive at least) followed by a muffled groan and a hoarse, "No."

Hunger (Foggy/Marci | PG13 | 1,251 words): Foggy and Marci's first day on campus and their first meeting. This is such a lovely bit of backstory for Marci, and the Foggy/Marci portion is delightful.

Excerpt:
Two weeks later, the campus would be full, but when Marci arrived it was quiet. After directing the movers, she tipped the men and immediately forgot them. Two beds, two wardrobes, two desks. The walls were white, but the window faced east. She walked over to it and looked out, one hand on the glass, watching as other students and their families parted. One man had fifteen people with him, each wearing a loud blue shirt with his face on it. She couldn’t hear him from this far away, but every so often he would climb on top of a wall or a rock and make what was probably a ridiculous speech to thunderous applause, complete with hoots and whistles. She leaned her forehead against the cool glass and watched them until they went out of sight.

A rose in a fisted glove (love the one you're with) (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 1,014 words): 616-comics Matt and Foggy end up in Neflix Matt and Foggy's world; 616!Matt and Netflix!Foggy hook up. This is a lot of fun.

Excerpt:
Hand to God, these days, Foggy thinks--no, he knows his life is a terrible scifi novel. It's the Spock's Brain episode of Star Trek. It's horrible and terrible, and his alternate self has cancer, and Foggy just wants to drink in peace because apparently even in another universe he and Matt don't ever go beyond friend territory.

So how did they--he and the other Matt Murdock--get to the point where they're bonding over crushes in Josie's at two in the morning?

Admit That The Waters Around You Have Grown (Greg-Vidalia | G | 1,072 words): Greg and Vidalia, single parents. This is a really lovely look at what it must have been like for Greg with an infant Steven. I like the friendship between him and Vidalia.

Excerpt:
Vidalia knocks with her free hand and Greg comes to the door and jeez, he looks like he had his heart yanked out and used to smack him in the face. He also looks ridiculously out of place in the little apartment. "No more van?"

"Oh," he says, startled, like he hadn't expected her to talk. "Yeah, well R— we, uh, I think… kid needs a home home, y'know?"

"Yeah," she says, swallowing around the lump in her throat. Days like these she's desperate for their youth. The stage, the lights, endless nights of being rock stars with no responsibilities or consequences or hurt. "I called my mom and she told me I should make you a casserole," Vidalia says, "but I don't know how to make a casserole. So here." She hands him a bag of Chex Mix.

Void Heart (the Knight | PG13 | 1,366 words): The Knight stands before the Abyss. I'm not familiar with Hollow Knight, but I love the atmosphere of this fic.

Excerpt:
The Knight stands on a precipice. The drop below is a long one. Perhaps as long as the drop from the Howling Wastes into King's Pass. No. Perhaps longer, because this time... This time, the Knight knows, all the doors will open. The Abyss is not just spikes and shades, shattered bodies and churning power.

Below is the past. Below is the Void. Below are all the answers it's forgotten the question to. Its first memories of this undead kingdom, hidden in the warm and grasping dark.

<a href="https://archiveofourown.org/works/894411>I Want To Believe (It's Not Lead Poisoning) (Carlos/Cecil, Mulder, Scully | G | 2,446 words): Mulder and Scully visit Night Vale. This is a very fun fic done in the style of an episode of Welcome to Night Vale. Excerpt: Frances says they argued like an old married couple. She says the man Mulder is tall, but not too tall, and that his features are distinguished and his eyes are shadowed by old pain that will never be forgotten. She says she offered them a lovely Danish Modern sofa, but that Agent Scully said they had no way to get it back to DC. The FBI agents - if that is indeed what they are - do not seem to mean us harm. However, appearances can be deceiving. Agents from a Vague, Yet Menacing, Government Agency have been seen following them. And no one reports seeing anyone in a leather balaclava all day, which means that the Sheriff's Secret Police must be very interested in them.

Christmas With The Nelsons (Foggy-Matt | G | 1,367 words): In the wake of Season 2, Foggy attends his family's Christmas. I really like this one for Foggy's mom's relationship advice and how to her it doesn't matter what the exact nature of Matt and and Foggy's relationship is.

Excerpt:
"Mom, have you adopted a small town that I don't know about? It's just going to be us this year, right?"

"Oh, I never know how much to cook for you kids. And I thought Matthew might be joining you again."

Foggy tried to hide his fallen expression. "Even if Matt were coming, which he's not, he eats like a bird, mom."

"Oh, I get him to eat. Why isn't he coming? He knows he's always welcome."

Some unreadable fate (Foggy/Matt | R | 1,644 words): Foggy thinks he doesn't have an othername on his skin. This is a fun, sweet take on a soulmate AU.

Excerpt:
Matt's – something else. His best friend, for all Foggy wishes they could be more than that, but Foggy doesn't have a name anywhere on him.

Matt definitely does, from the way he blushed and smiled awkward and shy somewhere in the direction of the window, and said, "I've never seen mine, but I know it's there."

Foggy can't get in the middle of that. Him with no othername and maybe no other to find for himself.
