Alchemist (Edward Elric, X-Men ensemble | PG13 | 4,462 words): Edward Elric, as observed by ten different mutants. This is a neat outsider perspective on an Ed trapped in the world of the X-Men movies.

Excerpt:
Wolverine wasn't the poetical type. He would rather slice up some Brotherhood pawns than think about the reasons they became Brotherhood pawns in the first place. He was a very look-at-the-surface-only kind of guy. It's worked out pretty well for him so far.

But he made an exception for Edward Elric, because on the surface Elric was a brawler and a scholar and a mutant, and on top of all that he had a conscience that despised killing, discrimination, and corruption. And they found him with the Brotherhood, which made no sense because they were all three of those things.

Two for the price of one (Matt/Foggy/Matt | NC17 | 4,632 words): Matt Murderdock from Earth-65 shows up in the offices of Nelson & Murdock. This is hilarious with great characterization.

Excerpt:
They've been in the same room for fifteen minutes and the Matts are already not into each other. Foggy has a theory that it's because an additional Matt means that half of the attention of the room is immediately taken away from each of them, but things are contentious enough right now that he doesn’t think he’s going to vocalize this.

Instead, he interrupts to ask, "So it's still Google in your timeline?"

Murdock raises his eyebrows. "As opposed to what?"

"I don't know, Dark Google?" Foggy offers, shrugging, while he scans over the search results for alternate universe body double help only to find scifi forums and a lot of dirty fanfiction. "Everyone's using Bing? Ask Jeeves never died? God, I've got some shit I'd like to ask Jeeves."

Murdock snorts.

"As far as I can tell, our worlds are awfully similar," he says. "They just produced—very different people."

"Oh. Have you guys swapped life stories yet?" Foggy says, curious but mostly talking for the sake of filling in the weird tense silence, barely paying attention to what he's saying. "Compare and contrast? We've got a white board, we can go over your respective childhood traumas—oh god, Matt, there's nothing, because this has literally never happened to anybody but you and Spock."

Nelson's Anatomy (Foggy-Matt | PG13 | 3,084 words): Foggy is determined to learn enough first aid in order to help Matt. This is a really great show of the friendship between these two and how important to each other they are.

Excerpt:
"Foggy, I really don't think this is necessary – "

"What happens when Claire isn't around, Matt?" Foggy demands, hands on his hips. "Or when you're too banged up to move? What happens then?"

Matt doesn't answer, but his tongue sneaks out and wets his lips, so Foggy knows he's anxious and uncertain.

News Flash (Wally, Clark/Bruce | G | 2,843 words): Upon learning that batman is Bruce Wayne, Wally has to recontextualize several past interactions. Ahh, this is a really funny look at Wally and Bruce interacting.

Excerpt:
"Human beings are generally impulsive. The extremely wealthy often have especially poor impulse control, after a lifetime of getting whatever they want when they want it. So one can't be too surprised that, given time alone with his boyfriend on the Watchtower, Wayne would give in to the impulse to...christen the council table."

"You don't think much of human beings, do you?" growled Superman.

"I know they tend not to be able to resist temptation," Batman said blandly, crossing his arms and meeting Superman's gaze with those creepy white lenses.

"Well, I hope he resists the temptation from now on," grumbled Flash. "He didn't seem the least bit embarrassed, but his boyfriend seemed pretty mortified. That's right, he's from Metropolis, reporter for the Planet" he exclaimed, turning to Superman. "He's written some stuff about you, right? Clark Kent--do you know him? Did you know he was dating Bruce Wayne?"

Superman looked uncomfortable. "I...don't remember reading that in the papers."

"I wonder what a guy like him did to score a billionaire boy toy," mused Flash.

"Life is full of unsolved mysteries," intoned Batman from the corner, and Superman gave him another withering glare.

Apple (Crowley/Aziraphale | R | 4,768 words): On his wedding day, Adam decides to give Crowley and Aziraphale a present. This is a fun realization of feelings with a similar style and sense of humor to the book.

Excerpt:
Bles – dam – bugger Adam Young, anyway. This was all his fault.

He'd accosted Crowley at the bar, while Crowley had been quite innocently getting more wine (the angel was at his most...entertaining when his words were a little bit slurred, his cheeks a little bit flushed, and his laughter at inappropriate jokes a little more open).

"Hi, Crowley. Thanks for coming." Adam gave Crowley a lopsided grin.

Crowley smiled in reply. "Wouldn't have missed it for the world." He gesticulated with the two fresh wine bottles. "Open bar!"

Adam laughed. "Well, it's good to see both of you."

"Both of us?" Crowley raised an eyebrow. "I wasn't aware that the angel and I were a unit, what with him being a force for good and fluffy bunnies and me being a demon and all."

Mike Murdock's Fuckability Scale (Foggy/Matt, Mike | PG13 | 3,016 words): Mike has ranked Matt's exes, and he's going to share with Matt and Foggy. This is delightfully funny and sweet. Mike's characterization and Matt's reactions to him are stellar from start to finish.

Excerpt:
Matt tried his hand at sarcasm. "You were right. I am very jealous. Never been more jealous in my life, in fact. Now why are you here?" he asked again.

Mike moved away from the doorway finally and settled himself into the other chair parked in front of Foggy's desk and next to Matt's. In response, Matt leaned into the right side of his; the extra space it put between him and Mike was negligible in real terms, but psychologically it made all the difference.

"It's a Friday night," Mike said. "Figured I would come bond with my baby bro and his spouse."

When It Counts (Michelangelo | PG13 | 3,720 words): Michelangelo gets injured and surprises his brothers with how he handles it. This has got great Mikey characterization and some great moments between Don and Mikey and interesting exploration of the dynamics between Mikey and Leo and also Mikey and Raph.

Excerpt:
Raph was crouched down beside him in concern, but his head lifted as he caught a sound drifting down the alley. "Sirens. Coming this way."

Leo swore under his breath. Mikey took a deep breath and held it, trying to silence his own cries. They beat against the roof of his mouth, demanding to be let out, but he kept them back.

"We need to get under cover," Raph was urging.

"There's no way we can hide while Mikey's hurt, you know how much noise he makes!"

Excuse me, thought Mikey, suddenly furious, what?

He pushed himself away from Don and up onto one foot, ignoring the way his right knee shook and his vision hazed in front of his eyes.

Some Translation Required (Spock, Kirk/Spock | G | 3,183 words): Spock has more-or-less learned how to speak Earthling. This is a really fun and funny look at how people from Earth go about things and Spock who is forced to try to explain his crew's thought processes to everyone else.

Excerpt:
Ultimately, the most frustrating thing about Earthlings was that they seemed to be single-handedly making a case for the existence of luck, Spock reflected as he watched the Carturi ships careen through the nebula, caught in their own inertial pull and burning with a sickly purple flame.

"Excellent work," Jim congratulated the crew.

Spock had long-since stopped looking to Nyota for a moment of incredulity. She was, after all, an Earthling. In fact, he was more likely to share commiseration with Dr. McCoy, which was too horrifying to contemplate and so Spock kept his glances to himself.

"Might I suggest Warp 5?" he asked instead, and Jim grinned at him brightly and said,

"Mr. Sulu, Warp 5 to keep Mr. Spock happy."

Yurumu (Matt, Matt/Elektra | PG13 | 2,509 words): What happens to Matt after Elektra takes him to Roscoe Sweeney's. This is a great fill for a missing scene from the show.

Excerpt:
He probably had ten minutes before cops would start showing up, and he didn't want to still be there when they did. How would he explain what happened? Every version of events he imagined ended up with him being arrested and never being able to become a lawyer. In avenging his father, he would ruin the thing his father wanted most for him.

So he had to leave.

But Elektra had taken the car, not that he could have driven it, but it did have his things in it. His cane and his coat, with his wallet and student card that functioned as a bus pass.

And he had no idea where he was.

Punch Drunk (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 2,951 words): A concussed Matt forgets he and Foggy are currently estranged and goes to Foggy's apartment. This is an amazingly well done confession, reconciliation, and getting together all in one fic. It fits wonderfully into Soule's run, although I don't believe having read Soule's run is necessary to enjoy this.

Excerpt:
"Oh my god!"

Foggy's voice cut through the haze and Matt realized he was on his knees, the hallway still glitching oddly in his mental eye as his brain tried and failed to piece the input from his radar together. Nngh. He had to get up.

Hands on his shoulders. One gliding through his hair, because at some point his hood had come off, gliding over the golf ball-sized lump near his temple. Pizza wasn't Foggy's, thank God, but the smell was still wafting through the hallway. Matt's stomach churned again and it took all his concentration and willpower to not lose the contents of his stomach over Foggy's shoes. Hand on his cheek, a light caress that slid down the side of his neck to his back and rubbed a comforting circle over his spine.

"Matty, you gotta get up," Foggy murmured. "You're in the middle of the hallway. In my new apartment building. Come on."

Foggy hadn't been talking to him, before now. Matt considered this an improvement. Foggy had even busted out a "Matty." He tried to recall exactly when he'd decided to show up at Foggy's door but all he could remember was a cinder block flying toward his head and a solid blow.

How You Build the Fire (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 3,370 words): Foggy picks up the pieces of Matt after Elektra. This is a really lovely look at Matt and Foggy in the wake of Elektra and an examination on love.

Excerpt:
"You know what we haven't done in a while?" he said.

"Hm."

"Really hugged it out." They used to hug all the time. Hug, touch, sling limbs over other limbs like there was no question about their welcome. Casually just up in each other's business, ever since freshman year.

And then Elektra happened.

"What do you say, bud?" Foggy said. "Just so happens I recently opened a box of patented Foggy Nelson hugs, no time limit or expiration date. Your name all over it."

"You opened my mail?"

Water's Rough (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 2,769 words | sequel to The Same Old Story, sequel is There's A Way): Foggy and Matt and their first child, in the beginning. Matt is struggling and Foggy's struggling and it's all very angsty in a way that's so personal to these characters in this situation.

Excerpt:
"You never hold him," Foggy points out. Matt flinches. He scratches at the back of his head. "Why don't you ever hold him? What're you afraid of?"

Matt doesn't answer for a little while. Then, he says, "I don't want to hurt him."

Foggy turns fully, folding his legs up under himself. He holds Jack tight against his chest and studies Matt's face for a second.

"You think you're going to hurt him?" Foggy asks. Matt half-shrugs, turning his face down towards the bed. "You’re not going to."

The Same Old Story (Foggy/Matt | G | 2,642 words | sequel is Water's Rough): Matt gets called down to the school because his and Foggy's kids got in a fight. This is a really sweet 'verse with Matt and Foggy raising kids and trying to navigate parenthood.

Excerpt:
"So," the other kid's mom said. "What did happen?"

"From what I was told," Principal Sawyer began, "Molly here started shouting at Scott at recess. Apparently, a crowd gathered, and the two of them were exchanging verbal insults. This is when I'm told Jack arrived, spoke with his sister, and started a physical altercation between himself and Scott, which Molly then decided to also engage in."

Matt turned his head down towards his left, where Jack sat. He could feel the movement as Jack shrugged. "She's technically right."

"Why'd you hit him, Jack?" Matt asked softly. He felt Jack lean forward at the same time Molly did; presumably they were trying to communicate something to one another. "Jack."

Down to the Bone (Foggy/Matt | G | 4,572 words): A daemon AU for Matt and Foggy. This is a really fun daemon AU, and the emotions are all so heart-warming.

Excerpt:
He gets used to the easy way that Foggy fits into his life, to the smell of cheetos and coconut shampoo and the warm feel of Foggy's arm under his fingers. He hasn't touched anyone but Amala this much since his father died. He gets used to way Darius sings in the night, a low croaking croon that helps Foggy sleep. After awhile, it helps Matt sleep as well. He even gets used to the smell of damp, cool air that seems to cling to Darius, like a forest or the night after a rain.

"He gets sick if he dries out," Foggy explains, misting Darius with a spray bottle he keeps in his bag. A year in, Matt realizes that he keeps one too, just in case.

Amala likes them, will curl up around Darius when Matt and Foggy are studying, or scamper back and forth around Darius while he flicks his tongue out, playfully trying to catch her.

"I like them," Amala whispers to Matt, curled up on his pillow.

With Great Power and All That (Gwen, Matt | PG13 | 3,332 words): Matt begins teaching Spider-Woman. This is a lot of fun reading how Kingpin Matt and Gwen would interact.

Excerpt:
"Dude, you're such a rich person," she grumbled. Matt snorted as he walked away from her crumpled form.

"Astute analysis, Ms. Stacy. Is that why you have a B-minus in English Lit?" he replied slyly, his smirk pulling higher on one side.

"B-plus," she growled, pushing herself from the ground, ignoring when she stumbled. Her side screamed in protest; the pain radiated up her neck and over her back.

That's definitely not good.

"Nope. Grades are updated every Tuesday, Gwendy." His katana had been tossed to the side during combat. It was currently being retrieved by Otomo, who glanced distastefully at Gwen. She glared.

Creepy ninja asshole.

"You'd think a try-hard like you would be on top of that kinda thing," Matt continued, sauntering back over to her, his bare feet silent against the floor.

"Why would I when you do it for me?" Gwen shot back, managing a sarcastic smile. Matt's lips twisted down. He hated being undermined.

Being Happy (Kirsten/Matt, Foggy-Matt | G | 3,358 words): Matt discovers Kirsten is pregnant. This is a lovely and sweet AU that undoes one of my least favorite parts of Charles Soule's run. All the emotions are so great, and the deep caring between Kirsten, Matt, and Foggy shines.

Excerpt:
"Hey, Matt, are you okay? You went quiet," Foggy said from the other end of the phone. Matt swallowed roughly. He'd been crying, too, he just hadn't felt the tears until long after they had made their way down his face.

"Foggy."

"Yeah?"

"Foggy."

Matt swallowed again and Foggy sighed. "Matt, I know this is a lot. Everything's gonna be oka—"

"Don't," Matt snapped before stopping. Christ, he needed to get ahold of himself. "I— I'm sorry, Foggy. I didn't mean to—"

"It's fine," Foggy said. Matt cleared his throat.

"What should I do?" he asked softly.

Rock your body (please stay) (Foggy/Matt | NC17 | 3,018 words): Matt has an appreciation for Foggy's belly. This is really sweet and happy-making, and I liked the body positivity aspect in Matt's enjoyment of Foggy's stomach.

Excerpt:
"Matt," Foggy says, a little hoarsely. His fingers find Matt's hair, running through it hesitantly.

"Sorry," Matt murmurs, again, but he slides his hands to palm Foggy's sides through his sweater, tightening his fingers and feeling like he might drown in the noise of Foggy's body responding to the touch.

Foggy shifts enough to press their foreheads together, their noses brushing.

"Matty," he says, breath warm on Matt's lips, so close.

Where Fashion Sits (Foggy/Matt | PG13 | 2,950 words): Historical AU where Foggy s]is a haberdasher. This fun and sweet. I like the details of the clothes and Foggy's shop and Foggy wanting to deck Matt out in his nicer wares.

Excerpt:
"My colleagues at work tell me it is time for a new hat," Matt said, laying his top hat and gloves on the counter. The fabric hadn't been very good to begin with, and now it was worn and dull in patches. The hatband was kept together by a row of tidy but amateurish stitches—ah, thought Foggy morosely. Matt clearly had someone to take care of him.

"I have many hats," he said, waving at the stacks atop the high shelf that ran the length of the shop, "and they all connive and plot to be the next one to perch upon such a head as yours." Colleen gave him a look that said she feared for his sanity.

Matt ducked his head and smiled, and his forelock fell over his brow.

Along Came a Spider (Foggy/Matt, Peter | G | 3,038 words | sequel to Map of You, sequel is Tabloid Romance): While out as Daredevil, Matt finds Peter passed out in a dumpster. Surprisingly less angsty than that summary sentence makes it sound. There's a lot of Foggy and Matt being concerned for Peter, and Foggy/Matt being sweet together.

Excerpt:
Matt was about to point out his own displeasure on the topic when Foggy finally found his voice. "Sweetheart," he asked slowly, sounding slightly strangled. "Why is Spider-Man on our kitchen floor?"

Matt went still at the unexpected development. Nelson, Murdock, & Page had an... unusual relationship with Spider-Man. "Are you sure?"

"Unless some idiot child has gone to a lot of trouble to recreate his most recent costume, then yeah, I'm pretty damn sure." He knelt down, reaching for the first aid kit, then hesitated. "I'm not sure if it would be better or worse if it was just some random kid."

Equally uncertain of the answer, he reached into his pocket and tossed Foggy the phone and the bracelet he'd pulled off the kid's wrist. There was a wet sound he couldn't identify, then sudden movement in the opposite direction of Foggy at the same moment both Foggy and his heartrate jumped. "Well, it's definitely Spider-Man," he said, voice a little shaky but nothing about him seeming injured. "We now have web all over our kitchen wall."

Not exactly romance novel material (Foggy/Matt | R | 3,865 words): Foggy and Matt take a weekend vacation to a snowy cabin. This is sweet and fluffy and fun with a silly, happy romance.

Excerpt:
Foggy hums, unsure of where to take the conversation but, because he's always a kid at heart, he formulates a plan. Scooping up a handful of snow, he carefully watches Matt. "Well, I'll make sure to make enough noise to fix your problem," he says with a grin before chucking his newly formed snowball at his blind best friend. He's very glad no one is here to see it.

Matt, though, little shit that he is, dodges it easily and Foggy lets out an indignant cry. "So much for keeping your skills under wraps!"

"You said there's no one around," Matt counters, packing together a scoop of snow for himself and smirking. "Which is good for you, I don't know if your pride could survive being thoroughly bested by a blind man in a snowball fight."

Such a comment cannot stand. Foggy scoffs, "Thems fightin' words, Murdock."
